Overview

Holbox island is a small out-of-the-way Mexican island where you can go back to the days of no cars, beach roads and beautiful sunsets.

In the northern tip of the state of Quintana Roo, belonging to the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas and 10 kilometers off the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, lies the island of Holbox, separated by a low lagoon, home to exotic creatures such as flamingos and pelicans.

This little piece of sky is the perfect place to relax as the population of its unspoiled beaches does not exceed two thousand inhabitants, dedicated to tourism and fishing. Its rustic-style hotels, cottages and murals will delight you... In addition, you will be fascinated by the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence that illuminates this island every night.

Many living things emit light, but when thousands of plankton glow in the crystal clear waters of Holbox and illuminate the entire island in a hypnotic blue, it's just a beautiful spectacle.

What To Expect

Chiquila

On this tour you will discover the best of the Caribbean Sea. On this day trip our transport will pick you up at your hotel door and we will take you to the best trip. First we will arrive in Chiquila a small village, its location allows to be the maritime link to our destination, the island of Holbox, therefore we will board the boat that will take us through the waters of the Caribbean Sea.

After 2 hours of travel, we will arrive at our first destination before our main destination, we will cool off a little and recharge in the Yalahau cenote, this water eye is a large natural pool where fresh water sprouts, is surrounded by a magnitude of nature such as plants, trees and shrubs, you can appreciate this landscape from the highest of the viewpoint.

Isla Pasion

We will climb once again to the boat and continue on our way through the majestic Caribbean Sea to one of the best hidden treasures, the island of passion, this place will fall in love, you will see the nature and mangroves characteristic of the island, you will walk through the white sand of this island to climb the viewpoint and find a beautiful landscape to take it as a souvenir in a photo.

Holbox Island

We will return to the boat, to reach our main destination, the island of Holbox, where you can walk and feel a tranquility on this island. Holbox is a cozy and small island in the northern Mexican Caribbean, with beautiful beaches and a crystal clear sea of very little depth, its colorful art embodied in its wooden houses and sandy streets.
A true paradise full of tranquility, ideal for a pleasant rest in an ecological environment in total contact with nature. After a long walk we will arrive at the Villa Fuerte restaurant where you will delight any dish to choose from the main menu, while enjoying a beautiful view of the sea.
You can enjoy a beautiful sunset on the beach, but if that colorful spectacle is not enough, it is time to get on the boat once again and tour the sea and you will witness the most magical natural phenomenon bioluminescence. The light effect that microorganisms produce on some beaches is definitely a spectacle worth enjoying.
Finally we will transport you back to Chiquila and your hotel, after a fabulous tour of the Caribbean Sea and we will see a magical natural phenomenon.
