Zip Line and Cenote adventure

We had a wonderful time on this excursion and highly recommend it even if you are a little bit older. After about a 2 hour van ride from our hotel on the northern side of the hotel zone we arrived at our destination. Our guide was Sonti and he did an amazing job in explaining each zip line and ensuring that we were connected correctly and safely. There were a total of 4 zip lines, a repelling drop into a Cenote as well as a swim in a different Cenote cave with many harmless bats flying around. Sonti went into great detail as to how the Cenote's are formed and how extensive they are. We had a pretty good lunch after our swim and of course there was a chance to buy merchandise from the locals as well as pictures. On our way back to our hotel we went to Tulum and had a tour through the Mayan city. There were iguana's everywhere and it was really neat. We then had another approx. hour drive back to our hotel to be dropped off. It was a full day but a really good day and we would highly recommend this excursion even if you are a little bit older like we are, I am 61, we did as well or better than our much younger tour partners. Yes some of the stairs to the zip lines were tough but worth it in the end.

Such a wonderful experience. Pepe, our guide, made this excursion entertaining and was extremely relatable. His knowledge of Tulum made the excursion that much better. Overall 10/10 experience.

Dago was an awesome guide! Rafael was amazing in the caves! The buffet was delicious for lunch. I enjoyed everything!

Amazing tour guides that went above and beyond. Actual tour was really enjoyable, very exciting and the cenote is just magical.

Negatives however we got eaten alive by mosquitoes which would have been useful to know to bring protection beforehand. Also had to purchase some appropriate shoes from the gift shop (flip flops not ideal) and no towels provided which was stated we didn’t need to bring.
You can’t take cameras so again forced to buy images through them which is over £100!
Overall great trip

I would recommend checking w your resort where excursion pick up is. We were told by Viator to wait in the lobby and they would come in and call our name. That is not what happened We waited in the lobby 20 minutes past our pickup time and kept looking out the window and finally checked with a bellhop. He told us excursions pick up is the bus pick up area down the way We had to run but thankfully our driver waited 20 minutes. Also Viator told us to bring bug spray and use in the jungle for the zip lining. We were not allowed to use bug spray because it is Sacred ground
