What To Expect

Cenote Hubiku
The Hubiku Cenote is located in the town of Temozón very close to the city of Valladolid and the Archaeological Zone of Chichen Itza, its name can be interpreted in the Mayan language as “the great lord or nest of iguanas”.

Its main attraction is its young cenote that is underground and that on its roof has a hole through which a large tree once introduced its roots to reach its fresh waters.

To know this cenote you will have to descend through 115 stone steps, its almost circular shapes of approximately 50 meters wide will leave you surprised since you can admire its beauty in any position you are.

Its emerald green waters immediately invite you to cool off in them, its depth is 27 meters and the cavity in its central part allows the sun's rays to enter and give us a nice postcard of the place.

In this site you can also enjoy a Mayan regional buffet meal

Fun, and long.

Very cool, and alot of fun!
The guides were great (with a wealth of knowledge about Mayan culture) the bus and shuttles were nice and had AC.
Communication was really good through "Whatsapp". Good for US travelers who have spotty or no cell service, but have hotel wifi.

The pickup was early, and this was very "all day" for us. We stayed at platinum princess, and it was the furthest south our shuttle went. 6:50am pickup to 9:30pm drop-off.
-Comfy shoes are a good idea.
-Snacks and entertainment for the bus ride are also a good ideas.
-Try and remember to keep some tip cash for your driver and guide at the end. (The market can be draining.)
The cenote had young Mayan's doing some fun silver work. Your birthday or initials or whatever in the Mayan pictographs. Very unique/fun jewelry, that you won't really see anywhere else.
Hope you have as much fun as we had!
Lookout for hyper assertive market cryers! (The one drawback)
The best

Hands down the best. We had a great time and the tour guide made it extremely fun. Take a lot of water cause it is hot. The food was good and the cenote was so cool.
