Overview

We will head straight to the archaeological site of Tulum where we will be able to visit these 1500-year-old temples, our guide will teach us all about their history and we will have free time to walk around on our own and take the best pictures.

The second stop at the ruins of Coba will take us on a hike through the Mayan jungle to the famous ruin that until a couple of years ago you could still reach the top.

Refresh your body in our Mayan cenote where the water is preserved and filtered for a long time in the subway caverns along the coast of the Mayan Riviera.

at the end we will visit the city of playa del carmen and walk along the most famous avenue of the Mayan Riviera, the fifth avenue, famous for its cultural diversity and great touristic color.

What To Expect

Tulum

The ruins of Tulum are some of the best-preserved in the Peninsula. Most of the buildings date from the post-classical period of the Mayan civilization, around the years 1200 to 1450. The engravings and paintings that have been found explain that it was a place of worship and veneration of a supposed "Descent God".

The ruins of Tulum were very important. During the 13th and 14th centuries, the Mayan city lived its time of greatest splendor since it was a fundamental scale in maritime traffic for trade. From the 16th century and the arrival of the Spanish, the ruins ceased to be populated.

Zona Arqueologica de Coba

The city of Cobá developed near five lakes that were a fundamental factor for its development and subsistence. With approximately 70km2 of extension, the city was connected by extensive raised stone roads, known in the Mayan language as sacbé (white road), of variable length and width. The longest of them, with 100 km, reaches the site of Yaxuná, very close to Chichén Itzá. The inhabitants of Cobá who did not belong to the powerful class, lived in the surroundings of the nucleus of the city, in houses very similar to those of the modern Mayans. The evidence of the first recorded human settlements is between 100 B.C. and 300 AD, when we think that it consisted of a series of villages located in the vicinity of the lakes, whose economy was based on agriculture and hunting. Already between 300 and 600 d. C., Cobá developed by centralizing economic and political power, controlling several nearby towns.

Cenotes Tamcach-Ha & Choo-Ha

The Choo Ha cenote is a wide cavern where the crystal clear jade-scented waters surround an earthy island from where you can enjoy the different formations of stalactites, stalagmites and columns. You are inside a temporary capsule where the continuous passage of the drops was creating a beautiful cavity of the Mayan underworld
