Overview

The Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve is the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean

Sian Ka'an is a natural paradise and on your boat trip through the main lagoon you will see dolphins and especially many birds (there are more than 200 species): spoonbills, pelicans, cormorants, eagles, herons, ibis ... in short, the dream of a nature lover. It is also possible to see the graceful White-tailed Deer and more difficultly the elusive jaguar, which in Mexico only lives here and in the Sierra Gorda and Calakmul Reserves.

The boat travels through the main lagoon but also enters narrow vegetable corridors full of adventure and mystery. Also you willhave a free time to swim in Sian Kaan

The Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve is the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean and occupies approximately 650 thousand hectares, located between the municipalities of Tulum and Felipe Carrillo Puerto

It includes beaches, dunes, cenotes, coral reefs and a tropical jungle, home to more than 300 species of birds and more than 1000 of plants and 100 of animals. Sian ka’an means “where the sky is born” in Mayan.
